TGIF

I hit a wall today. The heat finally got to me. Up until this point, I was holding up reasonably well. Something about this morning tipped me over the edge. Things are better now. I learned a few tricks and hope I do not experience that feeling again.

The distribution this morning went well. The drama team changed things up a bit and presented a little more modern take on the prodigal son story. People received it well as evidenced by another 6 people making decisions for Christ!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to the team, mostly through notes I took as we got to know each other better this afternoon.

(Names are as close to the spellings as I can get. The letters don't always match up to the English sounds. For example, Vey is pronounced closer to Way)

The drama team ranges in age from 18-28. They are led by Pastor Nok. His wife Anna is also on the team. Sareth, Arette, Vey, Nandi, Salee and Visna (twins), Saoling, Chantoo, Vey (same name), and Bouray are the actors. Chantoon, Mayuleth, Mao, and Mayuleth's dad round out the team, serving as coordinators, translators, and drivers. These are a group of extremely talented people.

As we got to know them better, I learned that a number of them come from very large families. In a number of cases, they have already lost siblings through various means. Prayer for them is greatly appreciated.

One story in particular really stood out to me. Chantoo is 22 years old. She became a Christian just a few years ago when she was 18. She originally came to the trade school (Transform Asia project) to learn how to sew. Pastor Nok invited her to join the drama team and she has enjoyed it immensely. Even all the travel, as she says she gets extremely car sick. One of the many miracles she's seen since becoming a Christian she says, is that her car sickness is getting better. She also says she believes with all her heart that God can save all the people of Cambodia and asks for you to join with her in that prayer. Pray for her and the entire team that God will continue to use them to His glory and that the nation of Cambodia can come to know Him.
